Pushing the digital agenda

Tonight, the twitter # edchat event will focus on who will start a major education reform. Will it be teachers? administrators? parents? students?

A couple of weeks ago a few educators and parents put their heads together to try and find a solution to bring parents into the 21st century with respect to their child’s education. You can read about it in this blog post.

What is curious to me is that only a few of the people who stopped by took the time to fill out the survey. A lot of people read the post – twittered out what a great idea – “Digital program for parents” and yet two weeks later everything is quiet. Perhaps we asked the wrong questions on the survey. Maybe people don’t like to fill out surveys. For whatever reason there is a pause in the consultation process of developing the program.

So the question this evening about education reform and helping raise children in a digital frontier is in sync with our quest to generate an interest in a digital program for parents?

Can you tell me what you think parents need and want. Pushing the digital agenda – what needs to be done?
