Its not something new. Time and time again I hear stories about school boards fear of parents taking steps to setup communication networks. Parents try and set up a mail list to reach out to parents and school boards frown. Approved newsletters water down frank and open discussion. I have written about the subject numerous times actually ad nauseum.
There must some way to impact on the constant struggle that parents face when trying to communicate with each other. It could be something simple like a blog or a ning network.
What are you doing to help parents support each other. Can we change this?
In case you missed my thoughts and want to know more here are 2 posts that I mention interventions.
