Cindy Seibel – Featured Teacher

Cindy Seibel is a graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan where she has focused her research work on parent involvement. I have had the privilege of working with Cindy for several months and she is now one of the hosts on Parents as Partners at www.edtechtalk.com Cindy has been looking at the development of parent portals and how to create online spaces for parents and teachers to communicate as parents to parents and teachers to parents. Cindy started to compile her findings in her Parent 2.0 wiki. She has some used absolutely brilliant blog posts about the different participant roles in a parent portal. Cindy has used storytelling to draw out our thoughts on how best to build a portal. The Principal’s Voice and the Middle School Parent’s voice give you a sense of the work she has done to get to this point – the development of the Parent 2.0 Interactive a centre for developing an implementation guide for a K-12 Parent Portal.
